Golden Years…

One week from Saturday I’ll be celebrating my ‘Golden Birthday,’ I’ll be 24 years old… & I’m still wondering what I’m going to do with my life. 🙂 Isn’t it in the slightest bit funny how, even surrounded by numerous set-in-stone goals, I’m still finding myself a bit lost?

If there’s one thing I’ve learned this year, it’s that my goal list is not only a pathway to my future, but it’s also a road map; a pros list; a little window into who I really am.

This list, having taken nearly three years to build & revise, is me in a nutshell. – When I’m lost, it finds me; When I’m not sure where my priorities lie, it’s there laying them out in front of me time & time again; & when I’m broken down from whatever it is I’m facing, it’s there to remind me of what I truly stand for. It’s a key; a token; a trophy… pure inspiration.

This list helps me face my greatest enemy: Myself. – When people are betting against me… when I’m betting against myself… all I need to reassure myself is a little book that sits in my office at home; the one that can show me time & time again just how far I’ve gotten, & just how far I can go.

So if ever I’m unsure, as I am today, I reach for it… I see every goal, every accomplishment, every memory… & sure enough I’m back again.

One week from Saturday I’ll be celebrating my ‘Golden Birthday,’ I’ll be 24 years old… I have an incredibly loving & close family; I’ve had the unbelievable opportunity to fall head over heals in love; I’ve taken incredible adventures; I’ve met incredible people; I’ve inspired others to fight for themselves; I’ve moved to & from Seattle, Washington & Nashville, Tennessee; & I’m set to graduate with a two-year Communications Degree in July of 2013… & so much more.

So here’s to the newest addition to my website: The details into each & every one of my goals & how I’ve accomplished the ones that I have. Here’s to inspiration for you & for myself. Every single day.

Here’s to asking yourself that daily question.

Are you willing to go the distance?
