Celebrating Differences

Why does it bother so many people that we’re all so different; that people have different religions, celebrate different holidays, live in different areas, are interested in different types of movies & enjoy different hobbies?

Do we not feel that everyone should be able to completely be themselves as long as they are not hurting others? Are we not thankful for the fact that we are freely able to express who we are; that we are able to choose nearly every detail of our very own lives?

I’M THANKFUL! And I’m going to celebrate me being me & you being you! Religion, Sex, Race, Sexual Orientation – ANY & ALL Differences aside. Thank you SO MUCH for not being exactly like me. Thank you for allowing me to be one of a kind – for not being interested in the exact same things as I am. — How boring would that be?!

The differences between us are a HUGE part of what makes life so interesting. If, somehow, we were all able to accept that we, as well as the people around us, are unable to paint the world into the “perfect” image we see in our heads, we just might realize that fighting with others can be rather pointless.

Yes – I’ve said it in a very roundabout way – Can we all just get along??? 🙂

SO – In no particular order… & because it truly is the thought that counts:

    Happy Holidays!
    Merry Christmas!
    Season’s Greetings!
    Happy Kwanzaa!
    Happy Hanukkah!
    Happy Everything!

Are you willing to go the distance?
