The bucket list & lifestyle blog all about facing your fears & conquering your greatest dreams. The platform's mission is to inspire, motivate & empower others.

This website is for anyone who's ever felt a little lost; it's for people who are in an eager search for happiness. It turns out that you DO NOT have to define yourself with one word. You DO NOT need to label yourself based on your career, because that's not who you are, it's what you do. It just so happens that you DO know what you want, so why not write it down? Share it with the world, or hide it in a folder. Either way, it's time to take action & show yourself (& maybe the world) what you're made of.

Bucket List Bound (Formerly 2147Miles) was created in March of 2010 to keep friends & family in-the-loop as I prepared for my solo move across the country to Nashville. (You guessed it, 2,147 miles away from home.) It was created in a moment of loneliness, after a falling out with a few of my friends. And, over the past several years, it seems that one thing has always remained constant: No matter what I'm going through, heartache & loss, boredom & blah, my bucket list has always brought me back to a happy reality - &, most importantly, back to a "me" reality. I find myself time, & time again, through sheets of paper with words written on them all because it's all me - all mine. My recipe for life.

The beautiful Bucket List Bound logo was designed by my great friend, the late Madison Pearce, & reformatted to embody everything that she believed in & all that this website stands for. There is beauty to be found in everything, if you are willing to look hard enough. Nothing is impossible. We love you Maddie!

By Amy Riordan | August 1, 2020

Have you ever looked back on your life & found yourself focused on those moments of people pleasing & walking on egg shells, only to realize that they make up a good 75% of your life in its entirety? Maybe I’m alone, but I truly doubt that I am. And I’m honestly baffled by this.…

Exactly As Planned.

By Amy Riordan | May 31, 2019

You know those times when you feel lower than low? The moments when you just want to crawl into a closet and sob until someone comes in and tells you that everything that crashed down in your world was all a silly nightmare? I’m not talking about self-sabotage or when you treat someone like crap…

Run A Half Marathon | My Story

By Amy Riordan | October 27, 2017

The sun was out, it was about 50 degrees, & there I stood with about 100 other people waiting to start my very first half marathon. My Fiance was there with our little puppy Penny. I was nervous, but mainly just proud to be there. And, when the countdown started, I got in line &…

How To Run A Half Marathon

By Amy Riordan | October 12, 2017

Back in January, I added “Run A Half Marathon” to my bucket list. This was never something I ever expected myself to write on my list, let alone ever even consider. But, after doing the Polar Bear Plunge, I found a whole new side to my list (& me) that I hadn’t even noticed before;…

8 BIG Reasons To Delve Deeper Into ANY List

By Amy Riordan | September 29, 2017

It doesn’t matter who you are, we all have to do lists. They may not be “bucket lists” or “life lists”, but even just house hold chores that are eating away our minds, one item at a time. And I’ve found that, regardless, looking deeper into why you’ve listed the item can not only help…

Get Engaged | Our Engagement Story

There are no words to describe how excited I am to be writing this post right now, because I really didn’t see this coming! Just three weeks ago, my boyfriend (excuse me, fiancé) proposed to me in beautiful Glacier National Park. We’re Getting Married! Tim had been talking about a trip to Glacier for a…
